In outdoor, the future is digital

The world is becoming digital. Everywhere you look, technologies are converging on a digital future. It’s already happened with music. With broadcast media, it’s begun. Now it’s happening in what were traditional print media, like outdoor.

Some years ago, our award-winning tradition began with an outdoor campaign we put together for Barclaycard (it won gold, silver and bronze in that year’s Money Marketing Awards). Today, the requirements for implementation might well include digital media as campaigns run in press, outdoor and display are taken into websites, web banners and social media.

Since the time of those awards, we’ve invested in the possibilities of digital – on the web, but elsewhere too. And when – as they inevitably will – new digital requirements emerge, we’re ready.

Personal Print and the Power of Micro-Marketing

If you are bidding for a big contract, trying to establish your credentials with a potentially large client, or submitting proposals that you want to be remembered, think about the power of micro-marketing.

Today, digital print is sometimes almost indistinguishable from material produced in other ways, and it gives you amazing flexibility too.

The same kind of flexibility that you’re used to when producing a mail-merged letter for example, with the additional credibility of high-quality print.

So you can personalise complete documents, binders, reports, proposals and have them produced as though they were mass-market materials.

We’ve produced these kind of documents for Pricoa Relocation, for Birse Civils and Balfour Beatty. We’ve also produced direct marketing materials personalised to potential clients for Tectura, and personal market research documents for Hardwicke.

Those aren’t the only possibilities either. Outdoor displays, liveried cars or cabs, posters – all can be produced as one-offs or in small volumes to meet your particular requirements.

PFA Awards Branded ‘Barclays’ by Wild West

Each year, Wild West (as part of its work for Barclays) puts a complete set of display equipment into some rather nice large hotels in order to cement awareness of Barclays’ status as the sponsoring company of the Premier League in England.

The PFA Awards Dinner is one of these events.

The dinner is an essential part of the end-of-season celebrations, and is held just before the winners of the Premier League trophy can be known for certain.

The awards themselves, which have been won in the past by Kevin Keegan, Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham, are particularly prized by the winners, because they are awarded on the basis of votes amongst the players’ fellow professionals.

This year (2010) Awards were given to Wayne Rooney (Player of the Year), James Milner (Young Player of the Year) and Lucas Radebe (Special Award).

In this World Cup Year, to be hosted in South Africa, it seems particularly appropriate that Lucas Radebe has been honoured with an award. A South African, he has for many years rendered stalwart services to his English club, Leeds United, before injury forced him to give up the game.

Barclays and the Premier League

Despite all the pressure on the banking sector over the last year, Barclays is still making its sponsorship of the British Premier League work very hard for them. Barclays see it as a key element in their ambitious international development plans, and this week, Wild West will be installing a new display at the Barclays head office in their prestigious Canary Wharf  headquarters building.
