Finance and Investment – Presentation Means Business

Just in case you hadn’t noticed, Finance and Investment companies form a large part of our work. We design web sites, outbound emarketing and investor bulletins, reports, advertising, invitations, presentations and lots more besides.

Currently, we’re working for all of the following companies and organisations (together with one or two others that these individual clients would rather we didn’t mention).

Alcentra

Duke Street
Hatton Grange
Indicus Advisors
Inflexion
Resolute Asset Management

Silverfleet Capital

It is, as we hope you’ll agree, an impressive list, and if you are looking for a company to help develop your marketing resources, with specific expertise in the finance and investment markets, we hope you will get in touch.

Here, we’re showing some of our website work, but we also cover print, display, advertising and other projects (like investor communications and even complete presentations in Powerpoint).

Inflexion – Buyout House of the Year

Inflexion Private Equity (a Wild West client for many years, ever since we designed their new logo) have triumphed at The Private Equity Awards, hosted by the BVCA (the British Venture Capital Association) and Real Deals, being named Buyout House of the Year.

The judges praised Inflexion for its outstanding performance in what was a challenging year for the private equity industry.

Key achievements included the market beating returns on the exit of Viking Moorings, the ability to raise a co-investment fund and securing new investments in exciting growth businesses.

Winning against prestigious competition, including HgCapital, LDC and Charterhouse, the judges said their decision was unanimous.

One thing leads to many more…

From the new Alcentra/BNY Mellon site

We’re certain that we can’t claim the credit, but it does have to be said that our clients – and particularly those in finance and business services – have managed to retain the entrepreneurial spirit, even through the downturn which we have (and still are in our view) experiencing.

So, while new clients have been harder to get than ever before, it’s been good to have recommendations (either because our work has been visible or because one of our existing clients has been kind enough to refer us to colleagues and friends) which have been cemented on the basis of the work that we have done elsewhere.

Our new site for the American operation of Alcentra (a long-standing and valued client of Wild West Design here in London) adds resources from BNY Mellon, and is already looking very successful.

Further from home, our work for Satya Capital, which we referred to in an earlier post, was noted by a new company working to bring investment into southern Sudan, and it has been our great pleasure to help them (though too early to reveal our work!)

Recent projects for us have included press advertising, web banners, complete websites, identity projects, display systems, corporate and product literature of different kinds, direct marketing initiatives and more! It has been a busy year already, but we’re always pleased to welcome new clients and the challenges they bring.

If you would like to see more of our work of course, just visit the home page of our website and view or print our credentials document, or get in touch with us directly.

If your website is just a touch neglected…

Some web sites really don't do the jobs they were designed to do any more

We all know how it goes sometimes; your website just doesn’t get the love and attention that it should. And meanwhile of course, life can be passing it by.

Which would all be okay, if it weren’t so serious.

We have a lot of clients in investment and private equity for example, and their investors need to know what is happening to their money. The web and a properly designed website, can be a focus of this kind of activity – keeping investors informed about more than just the big picture, but maintaining information streams that are relevant (often personalised to) individual investors.

Quite simply, if you haven’t got these facilities, then some very important people might well go elsewhere.

The rusty cars that we at Wild West design are featuring in our new promotional campaigns should help bring more of this functionality to more new Wild West clients in the near future, while clients like Alcentra, Inflexion, Indicus Advisors, Duke Street and others are already taking advantage.

BNY Mellon and Alcentra site goes live

Alcentra are an investment company and, like some other leading investment and finance companies, one who have had a long-standing record of working with Wild West Design. Their new US operation is one which brings together the resources of BNY Mellon with Alcentra’s expertise to provide a new option in mezzanine finance. The new partnership will provide senior and subordinated debt and equity finance to mid-market companies in North America.

Read about the success of Alcentra over the years since its first investment (in 1999) at www.alcentra.com

Alternatively, and especially if you would like to find out more about Alcentra’s new collaborative investment venture with BNY Mellon, go to their brand new web site at the following address:

http://mezzanine.alcentra.com/

Alcentra was one of the first finance and investment companies to work with Wild West. Since then of course, they have been joined by many others, including Inflexion, Indicus Advisors, Satya Capital and Duke Street. They all appreciate our knowledge of this complex market and our ability to keep them in touch with the investors whose funds are so vital.

Web Traffic – Slow Build Is Best

Last weekend, we had our best day ever for web traffic by whatever measure we could find – hits, unique visits, downloads, sites. All were up, and if we’re pushed, we don’t really know why. What we do know is that on Monday morning, we had two very solid enquiries about future work.

The web is one of those places where hard and consistent work does bring rewards. It’s not so much a matter of shoving yourself forward all the time. It’s more a case of doing the right things consistently in order to get the results you are looking for.

This blog is one of those things. We hope that our new web site (coming soon!) will better reflect the quality of work which we do for clients like Secerno, Barclays Premier League, Barclays Spaces for Sport, Inflexion, IGP&I, Alcentra, Indicus Advisors, Stock Spirits and others.

Do return here whenever you would like to see more of our current work, or follow us on Twitter.com

An End to Innovation?

Inflexion Website
Everyone in business is talking about how deep this recession might be. For every green shoot that’s seen, there’s someone else who will call it a ‘dead cat bounce’.

No matter where you are on the spectrum of optimism and pessimism, you have to acknowledge that there are companies out there who are continuing to make things happen – to find new opportunities for their products, to develop new products and services, or just to improve on the quality that they are able to offer to the market.

Take a look at our client Inflexion. Their business is about investing in companies, and helping them realise potential value. If you go to their site (at www.inflexion.com) you’ll be able to view a remarkable range of investments. They have a hand in companies working in fields from offshore exploration to processed cheese.

Some, like clothing retailer Jack Wills, you will have heard of. Others may be a closed book.

Not all of them will make it big, but if the Inflexion track record is anything to go by, many of them will significantly enhance their value, whatever the prevailing economic climate.

Mid-Market Investors Get Web-Aware

Like many business-to-business companies, Inflexion know the importance of marketing, and marketing for this rapidly growing private equity company means two quite different things. First of all, they needed a shop window for their business, a place to show and explain what investments they are making and how they help companies to realise inherent or potential value. Then, they needed to make sure that their investors have access to information and know when important milestones are passed. The Inflexion web site helps do both. The public site showcases what the company offers and highlights their track record. A closed and password-protected area on the site gives investors access to the latest information on the funds in which they have invested. Finally, a tracking system provides the company with up to date information on where visitors to the site are going and the documents that investors like to download. If you’re thinking about private equity investment, check out Inflexion on www.inflexion.com. Smart identity too, isn’t it?
